It’s been a while since I’ve been on the scene, but if I recall correctly the weekend is when people kinda let it go- cut loose, blow off steam, and have some fun. Its something that we all need to do or we’ll go crazy. But sometimes politics get involved in that process and it could have a particularly harmful affect on young women. Evidently if they had too much fun there would be a social price to pay and it could be pretty steep. But a little more than 2 decades ago Salt-N-Peppa took a Samurai sword to that affront to logic and fairness and just let the world know that whatever they decided to do was “None of Your Business!”
If I want to take a guy home with me tonight, It’s none of your business! if she wants to be a freak and sell it on the weekend, It’s none of your business! Now you don’t be get into who I’m giving skins to It’s none of your business…
It’s fair to say that these young women were NOT into subtlety. But some points need to be made bluntly, boldly and without apology- and this was one of them. Slut-shaming is played out. Sure, a woman ought to exercise discretion and discernment, but you know what? If she doesn’t, its none of your business. So find your own good time and tend to it well this weekend.
