This poor guy is going to lose his mind. His grass looks good but he wants it perfect. In this moment, his perspective is failing him. So much of our life is built upon our perspective of reality. We quite literally make things what they are in our own minds for our own experience. The job that we absolutely hate has a thousand people that would walk a country mile in the rain every day to do it- and for less money than we are getting. The girlfriend that we are so tired of is the queen of somebody else’s fantasy world and he’s been looking for her all of his life. And I could go on. The point is when you are evaluating your life- where you are, what you have and what you are doing, try to maintain a healthy perspective and
DO NOT LET THE PERFECT BE THE ENEMY OF THE GOOD
You will drive yourself crazy if all you can see is what you don’t have or why your current lot is imperfect More times than not, what you have is actually good and if you can appreciate that, you will probably have greater energy and focus to build toward your vision of perfection. So if somebody leaves a big box of “GOOD” on your doorstep, please do not throw it away because it is not a giant box of “PERFECT.” If you do I am pretty sure you will eventually find yourself with nothing.
