One of the greatest lines in cinematic history was spoken by Sean Connery in the Untouchables.  He was an old man- a rugged and grizzled cop who was part of a small but freakishly determined five man team taking on the greatest criminal empire in U.S. history.  He had been shot full of holes by an assassins tommy-gun and as he crawled across his floor bleeding to death he never took his eyes off of the crucial piece of evidence he needed to deliver to topple the entire enterprise.

He made it just as Kevin Costner burst through the door and ran to kneel by his side.  The old man used the last of his strength, will and oxygen to growl into his friends face

Then he died.  But the last ounce of effort he expended was the key to the success of the team’s mission.  If you are a visitor of The Progressive Pugilist I know you have a vision and a mission for your life- I don’t even have to ask.  But what does have to be asked is “What are you prepared to do?” to bring that vision and that mission into fruition.  There comes a time when you have to stop asking God to give it to you or do it for you and instead ask that He bless your toil and sweat and determination with the results that normally flow from that effort.  Chances are He gave you every tool you need long ago.

Sooner or later, it will be time to set aside all distractions, to be single minded and go after it- whatever it is.  Don’t let anyone- friend, foe, lover or anything in-between rob your focus or your energy from what you have to do.  If they are supposed to be there for you, they’ll be there when you are done.  If they are not, this is where you will find out.  Good luck and  Godspeed.

∞ Thanks 4 checking in-  Do your thing 2day & I’ll see you 2morrow  π
