Mid-Day with Dana Lena’: The Power of Gratitude

Gratitude is the quality or feeling of being thankful and appreciative.

Walking in gratitude and appreciation creates a humbleness in our spirit that allows us to appreciate every single thing that we have and every single thing that someone chooses to do for us. Having an attitude of entitlement surely will cut off our blessings and alienate us from those that genuinely want to love us. No one has to do anything for us…ever.

If we are fortunate enough to have people in our lives that care enough about us to sow into our lives and be agents of good, then we are blessed and have found favor in their eyes. We should never cease to appreciate them and they should always know that we love them and we love what they do for us.

102

We will lose what we do not appreciate and what we do not honor. The Spirit of Entitlement will eventually choke the life out of everyone it encounters and leave the soul it used for dead.

Not a physical death, but a spiritual one. A life void of love, void of purpose, void of authenticity and void of thanksgiving.  If there is someone in your life that loves you, that has your back, that is there cheering for you, up late with you, up early with you, there when you call and there when you don’t, do not let the sun go down today or any other day without them knowing how much they mean to you.

And make sure you are returning the favor by being everything to them that they are to you.

  1. If there is a more poignant life lesson to be taught I do not know what it is For the record, I appreciate you and everything that you do to make TPP what it is, Miss Perry. On the outside chance that you did not know, let the record show- I thank you for being the energy that has made this what it is. Without your work, dedication and commitment, there IS no Progressive Pugilist. Amen.
